Lanai Golf

The Challenge At Manele
Lanai, Hawaii

Lanai is a small island of only 13 miles in diameter, just west of Maui. Because Lanai is in the rain shadow of Maui and Molokai, it gets less rain so is not quite as lush and tropical in appearance, resembling New England instead of Hawaii. In places it looks more like New England or the Pacific Northwest. Most of the golf courses sit at least 150 feet above sea level built into the volcanic rock utilizing the steep cliffs and rocky coastline with built in breath taking views of the ocean and white sand beaches below. The island was famous for the Dole Pineapple Plantation but with the construction of two luxury resorts in the 90’s, farming became obsolete and tourism took off with the addition of golf courses, restaurants and shops. What was formerly referred to as “The Pineapple Island,” is now officially called “The Private Island,” but it will be a long time before its pineapple heritage is forgotten.

This booming tourist area is home to a myriad of hotels and restaurants but when the sun comes up, the best place to be is one of the famously designed golf courses that stretch the 20 mile Tourist Corridor. With so many hotels, it’s hard to believe they found enough land for 8 golf courses but imaginative minds like Jack Nicklaus and Tom Fazio, to name a few, had a field day following the natural contours of Mexico to build their creations. Keep your eye on the ball because the mountain and ocean views are beautiful but the occasional gust of wind can send your perfect shot sailing away.

Los Cabos is a great golf destination offering courses that suit all skill levels. Greens fees can be on the expensive side but the perfect golf weather allows you to return any time of the year.

Minnesota

Minneapolis/ St. Paul Golf

Creeksbend Gold Course
Minneapolis/ St. Paul, Minnesota

Minneapolis, MN was voted one of Frommer's Top Travel Destinations for 2007. This mid-western city is experiencing a population boom and there has never been a better time to visit or move to the area. New golf courses have sprung up recently ranging from links-style layouts to tight courses that follow the natural contours of the land with added bunkers and strategically placed trees to test your skill. Winter weather is not golfing weather around here but the summer is just perfect. Bring a light jacket for the early times in the spring and fall as they can get a bit chilly. Watch out for those late season wind guests that can send that perfect shot astray.

When you aren’t golfing, head out along the Mississippi to bike, job or just hang out. The blockbuster new Guthrie Theater is a sight to behold and is adjacent to the Walker Art Center. Stroll along the walkways and shop for trinkets or relax at one of the casual restaurants serving cuisine from every culture. Greens fees are moderately priced in Minneapolis. Book your next tee time or golf vacation with confidence like so many other Teebone customers.

Mississippi

Biloxi Golf

With over 26 miles of coastline, 300 holes of golf and enough slot machines to keep you busy after hours, Biloxi is a great place for a golf vacation. Area golf courses were designed by the historical greats like Donald Ross, Tom Bendelow and Jack Daray. Recently, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Davis Love III and Mark McCumber all built their best here to give golfers a choice of the classic historic tracks as well as their new championship layouts. Some area courses have new greens, tees and fairways with most in their best conditions ever. For over 100 years, Mississippi has been welcoming golfers to the “Golf” Coast.

With 10 nearly brand new casino resorts, gaming and entertainment are a 24 hour business. After a day on the links, try your luck at Craps, Blackjack, Poker or Slot Machines. Don’t forget about the local restaurants. The Gumbo is always hot and hearty and full of shrimp and the po-boys have never been better. Mississippi's “Golf” Coast menus, abundant with local southern cuisine, coastal seafood and succulent steaks, dish up a savory culinary experience.

Biloxi is the only place that combines the glitz of Las Vegas with the weather and down home coastal charm of a sweet tea and a shrimp sandwich. Biloxi is just an hour and a half from New Orleans and 2 hours from Pensacola, FL. making it convenient from multiple airports and highways. Book your next Biloxi-Gulf Coast tee time or golf package with confidence like so many other satisfied TeeBone customers. A Teebone trip planner is always on hand to lend advice and offer assistance-call or email us today.
